Planning success for two new schools in Swadlincote.

We’re pleased to have delivered comprehensive transport planning services for two major education projects in Swadlincote – Mercia Academy and Newhall Community Junior School – which have now received unanimous planning approval.

Working alongside Kier Construction, the Department for Education, and Lionheart Educational Trust, we supported the planning process with detailed, policy-led transport assessments and proactive engagement with local stakeholders.

These future-ready schools are designed to provide inclusive learning environments, featuring specialist teaching spaces, forest schools, amphitheatres, and community-accessible sports facilities, all within sustainable, high-quality buildings.

Planning approval was secured at committee in under two months from submission, demonstrating the value of early collaboration, robust technical input, and a shared commitment to delivering positive outcomes for the community.
