Project handover at The Gateway, Nottingham College.
Date
16th December
We’re proud to announce the successful handover of The Gateway – a new, purpose-built facility for Nottingham College designed to support students with learning difficulties and/or disabilities.
Delivered through the Pagabo Medium Works Framework, the two-storey building provides 1,350 sqm of high-quality educational space, including 13 classrooms, a teaching kitchen, dining area, and a range of ancillary spaces. Our civil and structural engineering team played a key role in bringing this inclusive and future-focused environment to life.
Sustainability was a core focus throughout the project, with key achievements including:
✔️ Installation of 106 photovoltaic panels
✔️ Four air source heat pumps for low-carbon heating
✔️ 79% of labour sourced within 20 miles of the site
✔️ 76% of project spend retained locally
✔️ 100% of construction waste diverted from landfill

⭐ Project Managers – EDGE
⭐ Cost Consultants – AtkinsRéalis
⭐ Architect, Landscape & Interiors – Bond Bryan
