The Bath House, Birmingham 🎉

One of the first projects we worked on after Hexa was formed, we’re so pleased to share the completion of this iconic project in the heart of Birmingham, on the historic site of the former Kent Street Swimming Baths. Designed by Howells Architects, engineered by us, and delivered by Winvic Construction Ltd for Edmond de Rothschild Real Estate Investment Management, this stunning development includes:-

* Four blocks ranging from 7 to 20 stories
* 406 beautiful 1, 2, and 3 bed apartments
* Green roofs & winter garden
* Ground floor commercial units
* Vast shared resident amenity areas and a beautifully landscaped 20,000 sqft central courtyard
* Reinforced concrete frame supported on piled foundations with modular facade
* Basement car park and plant rooms

The constrained city centre site presented some challenges, being bounded by the public highway on all four sides which required our team to carefully design the basement structure to ensure highway stability. We also designed upgrades to the public highway around the perimeter, with the creation of a new area of public realm to the east of the building. The reinforced concrete frame was designed to maximise flexibility for installation of services.
